PRODUCT DETAILS
The Jaguar E-Type, launched to acclaim in 1961, remains an enduring symbol of automotive elegance and performance across its Series I, II, and III iterations until production ceased in 1975. The Series 1 models are particularly revered for their iconic design and exceptional craftsmanship. Originally introduced as both a two-seater fixed-head coupe and a convertible-hardtop, known as the roadster variant. The E-Type quickly became Jaguar's most coveted model of its time. Motoring enthusiasts were captivated by its sleek lines, distinctive covered headlamps, and gracefully contoured front end, which combined timeless beauty with formidable performance capabilities.
A standout example of the Series 1 E-Type is this 1967 Jaguar XKE Roadster presented in its original Opalescent Bordeaux Claret paint, complemented by a black leather interior and matching convertible top. Despite being built in 1966, it wasn't registered until November 1966, thereby designated as a 1967 model. Originally commissioned by Hoffman's Jaguar Cars in New York, this E-Type was first enjoyed by its first owner for nearly a year before it passed to a second owner, in October 1968.
It was subsequently shepherded for the next several decades, regularly being run as a “weekender” on the open road, until undergoing a meticulously thorough restoration beginning in October 1988. Additional restored elements by Treasured Motorcar Services, LTD, began in 2015, ensuring a continued pristine condition.
Now offered exclusively by Redline Restorations, this Series 1 E-Type stands as a pristine example, of midcentury British automotive design.
Navigating scenic fall foliage with its hard top on or basking in the classic roadster feel soft top down, or pulling gears on the big straight six; this Jaguar E-Type promises timeless enjoyment.
