1963 Ford Galaxie 500/XL 2-Door Hardtop

This is a 1963 Ford Galaxie 500/XL 2-Door Hardtop, finished in period-correct Ming Green Poly over a coordinating Light Turquoise vinyl interior.

With its long, low profile, pillarless roofline, and generous chrome detailing, the 1963 Galaxie represents one of Ford’s most distinctive full-size designs of the era. The upscale 500/XL trim added a sportier character to the Galaxie platform.

The car has been repainted in Ming Green Poly and shows off the style of the car. Some minor paint imperfections are present, but the overall appearance remains striking, The combination of green poly and chrome, 14-inch wheels, and classic rear wheel spats are included with the sale.

Inside, the Light Turquoise cabin carries the same strong period correct look as the outside. Vinyl upholstery, a heater, and a radio block-off plate preserve the clean and purposeful appearance of an early-1960s Ford interior. Power comes from Ford’s 352-cubic-inch V8, equipped with a two-barrel carburetor and factory-rated at approximately 220 horsepower and 336 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a desirable Borg-Warner T-10 four-speed manual transmission. Dual exhaust provides an appropriately deep V8 note, while power steering makes the car easier to enjoy around town and on longer drives.

Recent reported maintenance includes replacement of the transmission synchros and seals, along with an engine oil and filter service. The seller acquired the Galaxie in 2025 and has reportedly driven it approximately 2,500 miles since, meaning that the car has been regularly exercised and enjoyed.
