PRODUCT DETAILS
Redline Restorations is pleased to offer this exceptionally well-preserved 1995 Jaguar XJS 4.0 Convertible, finished in the striking factory combination of Sapphire Blue Metallic over Cream leather, with a coordinating dark blue power soft top.
Showing just 63,000 miles and reportedly owned by only 3 owners from new, this late-production XJS presents as a carefully maintained and thoughtfully preserved example of Jaguar’s celebrated grand-touring convertible.
The factory Sapphire Blue Metallic paint, code JGE, complements the cabin that is trimmed in Cream leather, code NDR, with matching carpeting, polished walnut veneer and traditional Jaguar instrumentation. The leather seating surfaces show slight wear, while the dashboard, door panels, wood trim and carpets have all been preserved in impressive condition.
Power comes from Jaguar’s 4.0-liter AJ16 inline-six, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The engine starts readily, runs smoothly, and maintains strong oil pressure and proper operating temperature. On the road, the car delivers the composed, quiet and effortless performance for which the XJS has been known for.Â
According to the ownership history provided, the Jaguar was purchased new on October 16, 1995, from Monte Shelton Motor Company, the Jaguar dealership in Portland, Oregon. It remained with its original owner until 1997, when it was acquired by its second long-term owner, until our client bought it a couple months ago. The car is represented as having a clean CARFAX report, no known accident history and a history of careful, garage-kept ownership.
As one of the final-year examples of the XJS design, the 1995 model benefits from the later styling updates, improved electronics and refined AJ16 six-cylinder drivetrain. These late-production cars have become increasingly appreciated for combining classic Jaguar styling with far more usability and reliability than earlier examples.
